Q: Can this gate valve be used for throttling?
A: No. Gate valves are only for full‑open / full‑close isolation. Partial opening damages the seat and causes noise & erosion. Use a globe valve for flow regulation.
Q: How to confirm open/closed position?
A: Red handwheel and rising stem provide clear visual indication; valve is closed when stem is fully down.
Q: What if the stem leaks?
A: Slightly tighten the gland nut. If leakage persists, replace packing after pipeline depressurization.
